How Does It Work?
We meet and discuss your food preferences, allergies, and goals for the service. I provide a sample menu so you can get a feel for my cooking style, and I can get a sense of what you find most appealing. From there, I design custom menus just for you. Typically packages are dinner meals, but I also prepare breakfast and lunch items.
How Much Does it Cost?
I charge a fee for my services, which includes the planning, shopping, preparation of the meals, packaging, and clean-up of the kitchen afterwards. In addition to the fee, you reimburse me for the cost of groceries and supplies.
Do You Come Every Day?

No, I prepare the meals in packages. A package consists of selected number of entrees (three, four or five), each with at least 4 servings, prepared in a single visit. These are packaged to suit your family, but the typical packaging holds two servings of each meal.
So if you order the 3 meal package and you live alone, you will have at least 12 meals (3 entrees times 4 servings). The 4 meal package for a couple will provide 8 meals (4 entrees x 4 servings = 16 meals divided by two people = 8). Hate math? Call me and we’ll talk about what works best for your situation.
No One is Home During the Day.
No problem. Most of my clients aren’t home while I cook. We’ll meet in advance of the first cook date so we can get comfortable with one another and you can show me around. I have full liability insurance and food safety training.
Can I afford a Personal Chef?

Take into consideration how much you currently spend on restaurant meals, prepared foods from the grocery store, and the groceries you bought intending to cook that end up in the trash.
Now factor in the amount of time you spend planning meals, rushing around after a tough day at work trying to throw one together, and scrubbing those pots and pans that formed a nice crust while you were eating and at soccer practice.
I shop - a lot, so I know how to get the most for your grocery dollars. Exotic spices and standard pantry items are part of my fee so you don’t have to pay for a full bottle of seasoning if I am only using a dash. I leave you with fully prepared meals and no leftover tidbits that can take over a refrigerator.
Some of my clients even feel in the long run they are saving money by having a personal chef because they aren't throwing away ingredients they never got around to preparing, plus they don't have to resort to unhealthy, expensive carry-out meals when there isn't a meal planned.
